Entropy-TOPSIS appraisal of brake friction linings developed from composite agricultural wastes using optimum manufacturing process parameters

In this study, the optimum process parameters for manufacture of brake friction linings (BFLs) from palm kernel shells (PKS), periwinkle (PWS), and coconut shell (CNS) composites were established using signal–to–noise ratio based on Taguchi technique. The L9(34) orthogonal array was set up investigation performance metrics (coefficient friction, wear rate, hardness) synergized by multiple criteria evaluation. manufacturing considered molding pressure, temperature, curing time, heat treatment time. Consequently, optimized utilized production different BFL PKS/PWS/CNS mix.
